Experienced Dental Receptionist – Part Time or Casual

Experienced Dental Receptionist – 2 Days per Week

This is not an entry-level position. Relevant dental or substantial medical reception experience is essential.

Wynnum Dentists is seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our front office team for two weekdays per week.

/n

To be considered, applicants must have either:

/n

/n

- A minimum of one year of dental reception or dental assisting experience; or

/n

- Extensive medical reception or healthcare administration experience involving phone calls, appointment management and patient communication.

/n/n

Applicants without relevant dental experience or substantial medical reception experience will not be considered.

/n

About the role

/n

/n

- Answering incoming calls confidently and professionally

/n

- Converting enquiries into appointments

/n

- Welcoming patients and providing a professional and friendly experience

/n

- Managing emails, appointment bookings and schedule changes

/n

- Maintaining an efficient and productive appointment book

/n

- Processing payments, health fund claims and patient accounts

/n

- Explaining appointments, fees and payment options clearly

/n

- Following up recalls, incomplete treatment and missed appointments

/n

- Supporting dentists and the wider team with daily front office duties

/n

- Handling patient concerns calmly and professionally

/n/n

Essential experience and skills

/n





/n

- At least one year of dental reception or dental assisting experience, or substantial medical reception experience

/n

- Strong phone communication and customer service skills

/n

- Confidence speaking with patients and managing enquiries

/n

- Experience managing a busy appointment book

/n

- Valuable organisation, accuracy and attention to detail

/n

- A reliable, accountable and professional approach

/n

- Confidence using practice management software and general computer systems

/n

- Australian working rights

/n

- Availability to work two regular weekdays each week

/n/n

Experience using dental practice management software will be highly regarded.
