Genus Industrial Services, part of the GenusPlus Group (ASX), is seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our project delivery team on the Koolunga Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project in South Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a landmark renewable energy project that will strengthen South Australia's electricity network and support Australia's transition to a cleaner energy future.

As the Site Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and on-site management of all civil construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Construction Manager, Site Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and client representatives, you will oversee the successful delivery of the project's civil scope.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all civil construction activities on site.
- Supervise and coordinate civil subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely,



efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed to schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, QA/QC documentation and project records.
- Review and interpret civil drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Work closely with Engineering, Commercial and Construction teams to resolve site issues and optimise project delivery.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Identify project risks and implement practical solutions to minimise impacts.
- Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of project delivery.

About You

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a site-based Civil Engineer role on major construction, infrastructure, renewable energy or industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing civil subcontractors and coordinating on-site construction activities.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, concrete, drainage, foundations and civil construction methodologies.




- Experience managing QA/QC processes and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Commercially aware with the ability to monitor progress, identify risks and support project delivery outcomes.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
