Supacoat is looking for an experienced and organised Administration & Accounts Officer to join our team at our busy powder coating facility in Welshpool.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering front office administration, customer service, job processing, purchasing and day-to-day accounts. You will be one of the main points of contact for our customers and will work closely with management and the production team to help keep the business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the front office and greeting customers and visitors
- Answering, screening and directing incoming phone calls
- Liaising with customers regarding new and existing jobs
- Entering jobs and customer orders into our system
- Preparing and maintaining job paperwork
- Providing customers with job updates and responding to general enquiries
- Ordering powder, materials, consumables and other workshop requirements
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and deliveries
- Raising and processing customer invoices
- Reconciling accounts and transactions in Xero
- Processing weekly payroll
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Following up outstanding accounts where required
- Checking customer purchase orders against completed work
- Maintaining accurate customer, supplier and job records
- General administration and support to management and the production team
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience in administration, accounts or a similar role
- Good working knowledge of Xero
- Previous payroll experience
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident and professional communication skills
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day
- A practical attitude and willingness to help wherever required
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering or a similar industry would be advantageous
