About the Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Luggage Services Supervisor to lead our Luggage Services team on Rottnest Island.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in logistics, transport operations or service delivery environments. You will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient movement of luggage across the island, coordinating daily operations, supervising staff and ensuring a seamless experience for visitors arriving and departing from one of Australia's most iconic destinations.

Working in a rapid-paced and dynamic environment, you will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence while fostering a positive team culture and strong customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, supervise and support the Luggage Services team across three locations to ensure safe, efficient and customer-focused operations.
- Coordinate daily rosters, task allocation and staffing requirements to meet operational demands.
- Oversee the safe loading, unloading, sorting and delivery of luggage across ferry arrivals, departures and accommodation providers.




- Monitor workflow performance and adjust resources to manage peak periods and time-critical schedules.
- Act as the primary point of contact for ferry operators, accommodation providers, visitors and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve customer enquiries, service issues and lost luggage escalations in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with WHS procedures, manual handling requirements and safe work practices.
- Conduct equipment and operational inspections, reporting hazards, incidents and maintenance requirements as needed.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports and documentation relating to service delivery and team performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency and the overall visitor experience.

You will also possess:

- Experience in logistics, transport operations, manual handling or a similar operational environment
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising teams
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and time-critical workflows
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance




- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying luggage
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude

- Driver’s Licence
- HR Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
- Ability to work across a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and screening process
