The Opportunity

The Stock Assistant is responsible for the effective management of the boutique stock to ensure smooth product flow and accurate inventory control. The role supports the sales team by maintaining an organised back-of-house environment and ensuring merchandise is received, processed, stored and replenished efficiently.

Responsibilities

Delivery Management:

- Maintain an accurate and organised store inventory.
- Pack and unpack merchandise.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing stock transfers and stock validation.
- Assist in processing all incoming and outgoing shipments within the business day they are generated.
- Assist in the reception of merchandise, validation in the system, labelling of products and corresponding placement.
- Ensure all items have the correct price tags.
- Liaise with warehouse for incoming deliveries and shipments.
- Assist in processing, recording, maintaining and following up on reservations and after-sales service.

Stock Management:

- Ensure stock areas are kept safe, clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure all goods are security tagged, ticketed, handled and stored with accuracy and care.
- Maintain accurate knowledge and whereabouts of boutique stock
- Ensure stock is stored appropriately, securely and easily accessible by staff
- Effectively organise store stock to ensure optimal product location
- Support the sales team with stock searches (including WWS), repairs and transfers.
- Daily follow up on negative stock and correct where possible.
- Responsible for all store transfers and stock movements.
- Responsible for stock organisation and back-of-house accuracy.
- Follow cycle count schedules and participate in regular cycle counts.




- Support and assist with stock take preparation and full stock takes.
- Responsible for all customer returns and relabelling.
- Ensure accurate recording and control of all stock movements within the system.

Store Operations:

- Provide assistance on the sales floor when necessary (bringing products to sales team, returning stock to correct areas, packaging, answering phone requests from other boutiques, checking stock for clients).
- Assist the sales team when replenishing stock on the shop floor.
- Monitor CEGID alerts including manual movements, negative stocks and discrepancies.
- Support administration of exports following Group procedures and inform the sales associate when sales can be registered.
- Report irregularities, damaged stock, discrepancies or variances to management.
- Conduct mini stock counts when required and provide feedback on stock condition, quantity and organisation.
- Maintain compliance with internal control and reporting procedures.
- Provide Sales & Service Support duty coverage during leave or absence to ensure continuity of boutique operations.
