About the Organization

Our client is a Federal Government organisation responsible for delivering critical regulatory and business services across Australia. The organisation is undertaking a range of digital transformation, legislative reform, and business improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance outcomes. As part of these initiatives, the organisation is seeking experienced Business Analysts to support complex business and technology projects.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced APS6 Business Analysts to support the analysis, design, and implementation of business process and system changes across a range of strategic programs and initiatives. Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical delivery teams, you will gather and document requirements, facilitate workshops, analyse business processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of technology and business transformation projects. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, process improvement expertise, and the ability to translate business needs into practical and effective solutions. Experience working with workflow and case management platforms, particularly Pega, will be highly regarded.

Contract: 6 Months + Up to 3x 6-Month Extensions

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Fully Remote Not Available)

Security Clearance: Baseline OR Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.

- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering activities.




- Analyse current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design future-state business processes aligned with operational, compliance, and legislative requirements.
- Develop business requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, and solution documentation.
- Work closely with technical delivery teams to ensure requirements are translated into effective solutions.
- Support system enhancement, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams.
- Present findings, recommendations, and solution options to senior stakeholders.
- Support project managers throughout project delivery lifecycles.
- Contribute to governance, quality assurance, and compliance activities.
- Support continuous improvement and business process optimisation initiatives.

Desired Experience and Capabilities

Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst at APS6 level or equivalent.

- Solid requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills.
- Proven experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions.
- Strong process mapping and business process improvement experience.
- Experience developing functional specifications, user stories, business cases, and requirements documentation.
- Experience working on business transformation, system enhancement, or digital delivery projects.
- Experience working within workflow, CRM, or case management platforms.
- Experience with Pega environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of compliance, policy, and legislative change environments.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.
- Federal Government experience highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

Australian Citizenship is mandatory.

Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
