The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 148 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally.

About the Role

​​The Senior Project Officer works closely with NACCHO’s Aged Care Programs team and a broad range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), government departments, peak bodies, and sector partners. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Aged Care, the role supports the delivery, monitoring, and administration of the Elder Care Support (ECS) program through effective stakeholder engagement, contract management, and quality assurance.

We are seeking a motivated and passionate qualified to join our team. You will contribute to initiatives that support Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and help strengthen the delivery of culturally safe healthcare across Australia.

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to:

- Manage and provide leadership and guidance for Project Officers in the team.
- Oversee and maintain grant management administration policy and procedures ensuring accuracy of program records.
- Implement the review and assessment procedures for all ACCHO/ACCO ECS program reporting, data collection and financial acquittal reports.




- Work in collaboration with all stakeholders, including ACCHOs, Affiliates, peak bodies, and governments.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in health or a related field are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in program management.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- A valid WWVP clearance and National Police check, or ability to obtain.
