About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Compounding Pharmacist to lead our sterile compounding operations, overseeing the formulation and production of sterile preparations to the standards set by the Pharmacy Board of Australia and Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. This is a hands-on role driving both the clinical quality and the growth of our sterile compounding services, working closely with a compounding technician and dispensary team.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee formulation, sterile production compounding and quality assurance, ensuring all sterile items are processed within required time frames to meet customer, clinic and regulatory expectations

- Dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines, including patient counselling

- Drive growth of sterile compounding services — building relationships with prescribers, clinics, and allied health professionals to promote compounding

- Manage formulation development, raw material purchasing, and screening/risk assessment for sterile formulations





- Supervise and support the compounding technician and dispensary staff, overseeing daily workflow and task completion

- Maintain accurate patient/practitioner records and ensure full regulatory compliance (security of Schedule medicines, confidentiality, WHS)

- Uphold strict lab hygiene, correct lab attire, and cleaning protocols to professional sterile-compounding standards

- Work as a key member of the Triad model, supporting prescribers and patients through the sterile compounding process

About You

- Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA, with hands-on sterile compounding experience

- Strong knowledge of sterile formulations, raw materials, and PCCA (or equivalent) compounder software

- A genuine interest in personalised, sterile medicine and passion for patient outcomes

- Excellent communication skills — comfortable liaising with patients, practitioners, and clinics

- Leadership mindset, with experience (or willingness) to guide a compounding technician and support staff

- High attention to detail, quality-driven, and committed to professional and ethical standards, including aseptic technique and sterile lab discipline
