About the Role
As a Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to our standards
- Assisting with menu development and daily specials
- Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation across all dishes
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering
- Managing food preservation and stock rotation to minimise waste
- Maintaining high standards of food preparation, handling and storage
- Assisting in the training and development of junior kitchen staff
- Supporting the overall kitchen operations and service flow
- Ensuring all food safety and health regulations are adhered to at all times
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve operational goals
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (highly regarded)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef with relevant qualifications, or 2–3 years of experience without formal qualifications
- Previous Italian cuisine experience is highly regarded
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform well in a quick-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
