At TechnologyOne, we're looking for an Architect to join our Applied AI Engineering team in Brisbane, helping shape how we build and scale AI-powered software.

Our team explores and operationalises emerging technologies, integrating LLMs and AI-assisted workflows into our products while building the tools and practices to deliver AI safely and reliably at enterprise scale.

You'll bring a strong software development background and set the technical direction for applied AI, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, scalable and production-ready.

As the design authority, you'll make key architectural decisions, set standards, and design the systems and integrations that bring AI capabilities to our customers and engineers.

What you'll be doing...

- Act as the architectural design authority for Applied AI Engineering, setting technical direction and resolving complex challenges.
- Translate enterprise architecture into practical domain standards, principles and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, including decision records, data models, system context diagrams and integration designs.
- Design and review solutions across code, data and UI layers.
- Champion engineering methodologies, coding standards and security practices.
- Guide the design of platform tooling and integrations that enable reliable AI capabilities.
- Prototype and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-assisted developer tooling and workflow automation.
- Partner with Product teams to align technical solutions with product vision and roadmaps.
- Participate in testing and code reviews,



providing technical guidance and maintaining quality.
- Mentor developers across R&D; on new tools, patterns and platform capabilities.

Your Talents…

- Strong expertise in software architecture and enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance, security and privacy.
- Proven ability to establish coding standards and architectural consistency.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn complex concepts into practical guidance.
- Solid commercial awareness and ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes.
- Ability to influence and guide teams through complex technical decisions.
- Software development background with strong understanding of the full SDLC.
- Hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration experience in production environments.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm, plus GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
- Strong software engineering skills in C#, Java, Python, Go, TypeScript or similar. Our primary codebase is C#/.NET, but we value strong engineering principles over any single language.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Exposure to AI/ML, LLM integration or AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or OpenTelemetry.




- Experience working with large, complex legacy codebases and modernising them incrementally.
