Specialist engineering and manufacturing company that designs and builds process skids and special purpose equipment for mission-critical projects, data centres, maritime, defence and major infrastructure. North Shore based.
This is a hands-on 3D design role for an engineer or draftsperson with 3 years + experince, who enjoys practical engineering design and detailing.
The Role:
- 3D CAD design, detailing and drafting in SolidWorks or Inventor
- Skid frames and steel base structures, support structure designs - think steel platforms that holds all the machinery
- General arrangement and fabrication drawings - made straightforward fro fabrication team
- Platforms, walkways and access systems -think stairs, safety rails and more
- Mechanical equipment layouts, pipework, P&IDs;, ocasional pump and valve design
- Bills of materials and steel detailing
- Basic structural and load considerations — lifting, transport, mounting
- Cross-discipline coordination with the structural and mechanical teams
About You:
- 3 years + in a similar 3D design/drafting role
- Strong in SolidWorks
- A fabrication or heavy-industry background is a big plus
- Understands buildability — how a design gets made, moved and installed, not just how it looks on screen
- Aus Citizen or PR, some Defence work involved
