As an Apprentice Plumber, you will play an important role in helping maintain and improve the plumbing infrastructure that supports Metro North Health's hospitals and healthcare facilities. Working under the guidance of qualified tradespeople, you will gain practical, hands-on experience across a broad range of maintenance, repair and installation activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assist qualified plumbing tradespersons in the delivery of maintenance, repair and installation works across Metro North Health facilities.
- Undertake apprenticeship training activities and satisfactorily complete all vocational education and assessment requirements within the apprenticeship timeframe.
- Perform allocated work safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures.
- Respond to work requests as directed and communicate effectively with customers, patients, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with trade staff and multidisciplinary teams to support service delivery outcomes.
