About the role

Lounge Lovers is seeking a Sales Team Member to join our growing team in Newcastle, NSW. This is a part-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic sales environment. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service whilst driving sales and building lasting relationships with our clients. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales and customer satisfaction, and who thrives in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key responsibilities

- Provide expert product knowledge and personalised recommendations to customers to help them find the perfect furniture solutions

- Actively engage with customers on the sales floor, understanding their needs and preferences

- Close sales transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly

- Maintain a deep understanding of current product ranges, pricing, and promotional offers

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

- Assist with merchandising and maintaining an attractive, well-organised showroom environment

- Process customer inquiries and follow up on leads in a timely manner

- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store

- Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards resolution

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a sales role, ideally within retail, furniture, or a similar customer-facing environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customer types

- Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and present appropriate solutions

- Excellent sales techniques and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and computer applications





- Flexibility and reliability, with a willingness to adapt to changing business needs

- A genuine enthusiasm for furniture and interior design is highly desirable

- Customer service excellence and a positive, skilled attitude
