Ocean Freight Opportunities – Import Transport & Export Sea Freight We’re currently recruiting for two Ocean Freight opportunities in Sydney with established and growing freight forwarding businesses.

1. Import Ocean Transport – Matraville
This business has a strong footprint across Australian retail imports and a diverse global customer base across retail, technology, healthcare, manufacturing and energy.

This is a fast-paced operational role coordinating Ocean Freight Import Shipments from arrival through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate sea freight deliveries and de-hire activities
- Manage cartage providers and monitor KPIs
- Arrange delivery order release and carrier payments
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery requirements and issues
- Monitor Customs and DAFF requirements
- Coordinate interstate freight and delivery scheduling
- Identify opportunities to reduce transport costs and delays
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance
- Track shipments and resolve operational issues

Salary: Up to $90k + super + bonus
Location: Matraville

2. Export Sea Freight – Sydney CBD
This privately owned Australian Freight Forwarder is enjoying sustained growth, with a down-to-earth management team and a strong focus on productive systems and processes.





You’ll support the Export Team Leader and manage export operations across Australian ports, with a strong focus on coordination and client service.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate bookings with carriers and adjust schedules
- Track containers and update job statuses
- Assist with PRA lodgement and job registration
- Liaise with clients, transport companies and overseas agents
- Assist with export documentation and cost inputs
- Support the team with export enquiries
- Provide backup when team members are away

Salary: Up to $80k + super + incentives
Location: Sydney CBD

About You!
If you have worked in Freight Forwarding in any capacity and have exposure to CargoWise, we want to hear from you!

The Export role would suit someone with 1–2 years’ forwarding experience or a junior operations background who is ready to take the next step.

Both roles offer cross-training and upskilling, making them great opportunities to add Ocean Exports or Ocean Transport to your skillset.

WFH: 2 days per week – both roles!
