About the role

As a Senior Project Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing reporting, forecasting, commercial oversight, governance, and assurance to support the delivery of the program. The role ensures effective financial management, robust internal controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with funding and grant agreements, legislative requirements, and organisational policies.

This role will provide key support to the Program Financial Controller and requires the ability to build strong internal relationships with senior program delivery managers, finance project peers, and external stakeholders, with a focus on financial control, operational efficiency, and compliance with funding agreements.

The role supports informed decision-making, manages financial risk, and provides assurance that program funding is utilised effectively, transparently, and in alignment with approved program outcomes.

What you will be doing

- Drive the financial planning, forecasting and performance management of a major program,



ensuring effective stewardship of funding and resources.

- Provide high-quality financial reporting, analysis and insights to support executive decision-making and program outcomes.

- Monitor program financial performance, proactively identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions

- Deliver strong commercial and financial governance, ensuring compliance with funding agreements, policies and legislative requirements.

- Lead financial assurance activities, maintaining robust controls and oversight across program expenditure and investment decisions.

- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate delivery options, change requests and funding impacts.

- Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to provide trusted advice, challenge assumptions and support successful program delivery.

What you will bring to the role

- Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field.

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related discipline, with CA, CPA or equivalent professional accreditation.

- Extensive financial management experience, ideally gained within large-scale, complex programs, projects or infrastructure environments

- Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), budgeting, forecasting,



financial modelling and performance reporting.

- Sound understanding of financial governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.

- Experience in procurement, contract financial management and funding oversight, with government funding or grant management experience highly regarded.

- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide trusted advice, apply commercial acumen and deliver outcomes in complex environments.

- Applicants must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance issued by AGSVA.
