Matrix Healthcare is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team. The role requires excellent English communication skills, a strong understanding of the NDIS workplace, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients. Experience in personal care and supporting individuals with diverse needs is highly regarded.
Key responsibilities
- Providing individualized care and support to clients with mental health disabilities
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community engagement
- Developing and implementing personalized support plans in collaboration with clients and their families
- Monitoring clients' progress and providing regular feedback to the clinical team
- Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met
- Maintaining accurate client records and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
About you
- Disability support worker with excellent English speaking ability
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, mental health, or a related field
- Extensive experience working with people with mental health disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on person-centered care
- Demonstrated commitment to empowering and supporting clients to achieve their goals
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check
