About the role:

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Patient Services Attendant to join our Perioperative team on a casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts available.

Duties and responsibilities:

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

- Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
- Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to and from the operating theatre
- Assist patients with general requests, mobility and post-op refreshments
- Ensure beds are correct and made according to the session allocations
- Assist with admissions and discharges
- Ensure adequate stock control levels are maintained
- Assist the team in cleaning the Perioperative environment including linen and waste removal

About You:

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

- Experience in a similar role within a hospital setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of patient safety and infection control principles
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
- Organisational and time management skills

Vermont Private Hospital is a up-to-date purpose-built day surgery/ short stay hospital with excellent facilities, specialising in Ophthalmology, Plastic and Cosmetic surgeries, Orthopaedic, Oral & maxillofacial, Vascular, Interventional Pain Services.

Our hospital includes 5 fully integrated operating theatres, stage 1 and stage 2 recovery areas and a 19 bed overnight ward.
