We are looking for an experienced Venue manager and Licensee leader, who thrives in hands on leadership and connecting with local community to bring together a memorable experience on the banks of the Tumbulgum River.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, you will take full ownership of the venue's day-to-day operations. Your primary focus will be driving business growth, leading and developing a dynamic team, managing floor operations, and ensuring strict adherence to licensing and financial protocols.

Key Responsibilities.

- Cultural Leadership & Team Management: Lead by example during peak trading periods, build a positive workplace culture, and foster open communication. Oversee recruitment, inductions, training, performance management, and effective rostering.

- Business & Financial Acumen: Monitor sales, margins, and expenses against budgets to drive growth. Manage till reconciliations, floats, petty cash, and stock controls with high attention to detail.

- Licensing, Compliance & Safety: Enforce all statutory licensing laws, safety protocols, and WHS standards. Maintain top-tier cleanliness across guest areas, kitchens, and cellar spaces while ensuring venue security.

- Operations & Community Events: Oversee smooth daily service, maintain venue presentation,



and collaborate on local events and marketing initiatives to drive repeat revenue.

About You

- Proven Experience: Extensive background in food and beverage operations within high-volume environments, alongside a solid grasp of licensing compliance.

- Financial Capability: Strong understanding of venue financial processes, cost control, budget management, and operational reporting.

- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire busy teams while maintaining low turnover and high morale.

- Problem-Solving & Agility: Energetic and adaptable under pressure, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Communication & Drive: Exceptional interpersonal skills, an honest and reliable approach, and a true drive to go above and beyond for guests and team members alike.

- Physical Capability: Readiness to maintain a physically active, hands-on role on the venue floor.

- License, RSA and ARCG are required.
