Venue Manager

We are seeking a fun, organized and customer-focused Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of our venue. The successful candidate will lead and motivate the team, deliver outstanding guest experiences, maintain safety and compliance standards, and contribute to the venue’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day venue operations, including opening and closing procedures.

- Recruit, train, roster, supervise and motivate venue staff.

- Maintain high standards of customer service and handle complaints professionally.

- Coordinate events, bookings, suppliers and contractors.

- Monitor budgets, revenue, labor costs, stock and operating expenses.

- Manage purchasing, inventory and stock control.

- Ensure the venue is clean, secure and well maintained.

- Implement workplace health and safety procedures.

- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, security and other legal requirements.

- Develop initiatives to increase attendance, customer satisfaction and revenue.

- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies and operational issues.

- Work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.

Skills and Experience

- Previous management experience in hospitality, events,



entertainment or venue operations.

- Solid leadership and team-management skills.

- Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.

- Sound knowledge of budgeting, financial management and stock control.

- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

- A current RSA, First Aid certificate and other relevant licences are highly regarded.
