Located within Manly Corso, Manly Seafoods offers excellent fish and chips and are passionate about amazing food. We are on the hunt for a kitchen hand/ cleaner-all rounder to join our small, but mighty team! This position will offer 25 or so hours per week to begin with, with the vision to become more. Position will be part time to begin with, with the opportunity to move to permanent full time for the right person.

As a full-time/part time kitchen assistant, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality salads, cleaning the kitchen and preparing the food in a rapid-paced cafe environment.

With the growing business, we are looking to grow the team. We operate 7 days a week, and so weekend availability is a must, however we only trade during the day so no nights required. We get that you have passions outside of work, and so a rotating roster is what we aim to do. If you think you'd like to join our team, we'd love to hear from you!

Tasks & Responsibilities
Washing, disinfecting and polishing dishware based on company procedures




Clean the floor and wipe the cooking areas
Maintaining order and cleanliness of the kitchen, food preparation areas and service areas based on industry and company standards
Cleaning general utensils and kitchen equipment
Cooking and heating food under the supervision of fellow cooks
Assembling and preparing food ingredients for cooking
Restocking kitchen supplies and maintaining equipment as needed
Packing food and drinking trays for serving
Weighing, transferring, checking and storing food ingredients

Qualifications & Experience
Solid understanding of food handling, sanitation and prevention of food-borne illnesses
Ability to work well with fellow team
Most importantly a can-do attitude
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour
