Asian Grocery & Convenience Store Manager

We are looking for a Store Manager to join a small Asian grocery and convenience store of approximately 150 square metres.

This is a hands-on position. It is not a role where the manager only prepares rosters or manages from the office. We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, responsible and willing to work alongside the team.

Main Responsibilities
Manage the daily operation of the store, including opening, closing, cashier duties, restocking and merchandising
Prepare staff rosters and support the team during busy periods
Manage ordering, deliveries, inventory and expiry-date checks
Keep the shop floor, shelves, fridges and storage areas clean and organised
Minimise expired stock, damaged stock and unnecessary inventory loss
Handle customer enquiries and maintain positive service standards
Monitor store sales, labour costs and stock turnover
Communicate and report store issues clearly and promptly

What We Are Looking For
Experience in an Asian grocery store, independent supermarket,



convenience store or other retail environment
Previous experience as a store manager, assistant manager, department supervisor or senior team member is preferred
Willing to assist with cashier work, restocking, deliveries and general store duties
Organised, responsible, honest and reliable
Basic understanding of inventory, wastage and labour cost control
Able to lead a small team and allocate work fairly
Willing to communicate problems early and take responsibility
Must have the right to work in Australia on a long-term basis

This role would suit someone with practical retail experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and is looking for a secure, long-term prospect.
