Upspec Steel Buildings has been helping property and business owners across Sydney Metro put up tough, reliable steel structures since 2016. Based in Penrith, we manage the full process from design and council approvals through to construction, using Australian-made materials and an experienced in-house team.

About the Role

We're after an experienced Metal Roofer to join the team. This role suits someone who knows their way around steel structures including roofing , Cladding and steel framework( Not required just preferred) and is also happy to be part of a crew and pitch in where needed with building the sheds.

Most days you'll be installing metal roofing and wall cladding on sheds, awnings, and light commercial builds across Sydney. You’ll be working with flashings, gutters, and downpipes, making sure everything is finished to a high standard. When roofing work is lighter, you’ll help out on site with the build crew or assist in the factory to keep jobs moving.

Key Responsibilities

Driving to and working across multiple job sites around Sydney.
Installation of metal roofing and wall cladding (Colorbond and similar).
Measuring, cutting, and fixing roof sheets and flashings.
Installing gutters, downpipes, and rainwater goods.




Working safely at heights and following WHS requirements.
Reading and working from plans and drawings.
Assisting the construction crew on site when required.
General factory work when needed to support the team.

What You'll Need

Proven experience as a Metal Roofer (essential).
White Card (essential).
Working at Heights ticket (highly regarded).
Current driver’s licence (essential).
EWP, forklift, or other tickets (advantageous).
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Reliable, able to work unsupervised, and shows initiative.
Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work.
Reliable transport to site
Good team player

Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour
