TOM People have partnered with a growing financial institution to appoint a Senior Tax Manager in a visible, high-impact role. This position will see you play a pivotal role in shaping strategic tax decisions, advising senior management, and strengthening the organisation’s tax governance framework. You’ll drive process improvement through data‑led insights while leading a small, high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities
Provide end‑to‑end tax advisory across income tax, GST, FBT, payroll, and withholding tax
Oversee the tax governance framework, policies, and risk management practices
Liaise with the ATO and external advisors on compliance reviews and audits




Partner with Finance and business leaders to align tax strategies with broader objectives
Leverage data and technology to streamline reporting and enhance accuracy
Manage, mentor, and develop one direct report

About You
CA / CPA qualified, ideally Big 4 trained with subsequent in‑house financial services experience
Proven expertise in tax advisory and compliance across Australian tax legislation
Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, solutions‑driven mindset
Solid analytical and data‑driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Confident communicator who can influence and advise senior stakeholders
