We’re looking for a full time Rigid Truck Driver to join our team at Jackman Furniture Freighters in Croydon South, Victoria. This is a great opportunity to be a key part of our transport operations, delivering new furniture and other goods to customers across Melbourne’s metro and outer suburbs.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a rigid truck to transport furniture and freight
Work with our warehouse team to load and unload items
Perform manual handling of goods, including loading and unloading items on and off trucks and moving goods within warehouses
Handle pickups and drop-offs at various locations
Safely secure and handle furniture and freight during transport
Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
Provide excellent customer service to clients
What We’re Looking For
A valid Australian Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s license or higher
At least 2 years of experience driving rigid trucks
Experience with, and willingness to perform, manual handling of goods
Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, lifting, and handling practices
Excellent driving skills and a robust safety-first mindset
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Good communication and customer service skills
Physically capable of safely handling furniture and freight
Hours of Operation
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Occasional paid overtime
