Marino Plant Hire is a Far North Queensland-based business supplying heavy machinery to the civil, marine, transport and quarry industries. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer & Administration Officer to support our finance and administration functions.

This is a diverse role where payroll accuracy and attention to detail are critical. You'll become an significant part of a small, supportive team and play a key role in ensuring our employees, suppliers and customers are looked after professionally.

About the Role





We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer & Administration Officer to take ownership of our fortnightly payroll function while supporting day-to-day accounts and administration activities.

Payroll accuracy is critical to this role, and the successful applicant will play an important part in supporting our growing business. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy, and can confidently manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Processing weekly payroll and reviewing employee timesheets
Maintaining payroll records and employee information
Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant legislation and award requirements
Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Bank reconciliations
Assisting with BAS, PAYG and Superannuation preparation
Managing supplier and customer account enquiries
General administration, filing and record keeping
Supporting management with ad hoc admini
