Flowcrete Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Trade Assistant / Assembly Fitter to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis at our facility in Mount Kuring-Gai, NSW. This role is pivotal to our production operations, where you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and preparing products for the production team. You will work within our assembly and process work environment, contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to develop practical skills whilst working with a dedicated team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key responsibilities
Assembling and fitting components according to specifications and work instructions
Preparing products for quality control inspection and packaging
Operating hand tools and light machinery as required for assembly tasks
Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work area
Monitoring work for defects or inconsistencies and reporting issues to supervisors
Supporting experienced tradespeople and technicians on assigned projects
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly department
Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation
Maintaining accurate records of production activities as required
What we're looking for
Proven experience in similar work, manufacturing or a related trade workplace
Proficiency with hand tools and basic mechanical assembly techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to follow technical drawings, specifications and work instructions accurately
Good physical fitness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Reliability and a strong work ethic
A current full driving licence would be advantageous
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in assembly or fitting work preferred
Experience with quality control processes and safety compliance
