About the Role

Community Mental Health Services provide a range of services designed to help support the recovery and help consumer stay well in the community. The team provide specialist services for young people, children and families, adults, and older people. Community mental health services include a specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers and Peer Support Workers.

Our main sites are at Canterbury, Croydon, Camperdown, Marrickville,



and Redfern Community Health Services. The role will be based at Camperdown.

A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse educated and authorised to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role. The NP role includes the assessment and management of patients using nursing knowledge and skills and may include but is not limited to initiation of diagnostic investigations, prescribing of medications and direct referral of patients to other health care professionals. The NP role is grounded in the nursing profession's values, knowledge, theories and practice and provides innovative and adaptable health care delivery that complements other health care providers.

Ideal Candidate
Current registration with AHPRA and authorised to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the NSW Nurses & Midwifery Registration Board (AHPRA) or working
