Charterhouse is delighted to be partnering with a leading national organisation to recruit a Payroll Officer on a permanent basis. Based in the heart of Brisbane CBD, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, close-knit team within a well-established and reputable business.

In this varied role, you will take ownership of end-to-end fortnightly payroll processes alongside the payroll team, while also providing support across accounts payable during off-cycle weeks. You’ll enjoy a diverse workload, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers and playing an significant role in ensuring the smooth running of key finance processes.

About the role:

Reporting into the broader finance function, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the end-to-end fortnightly payroll process
Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time
Responding to payroll-related queries and supporting employees with payroll matters
Assisting with accounts payable processing
Processing supplier invoices and payments
Managing and responding to supplier queries
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and activities as required
