About the Opportunity

Octopus Labour Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Loader on behalf of our client, a leading transport and logistics company.

This is a fantastic prospect for a highly experienced warehouse professional who is confident operating a forklift, loading and unloading freight, and working in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

The successful candidate will be employed directly by our client and will become part of their established warehouse operations team.

Key Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently load and unload freight using a forklift
Assist with general warehouse and freight handling duties
Check inbound freight to ensure all goods have been received correctly
Ensure freight is handled accurately and efficiently
Check that incoming freight has the correct paperwork
Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and relevant legislative requirements
Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet daily operational requirements
Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment





About You

We are looking for someone who has:
A valid forklift licence (LF)
Strong and proven forklift operating experience
Previous warehouse, freight or transport industry experience
Experience loading and unloading freight
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
A positive, can-do attitude
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management and organizational skills
The ability to multitask and work under pressure
A proactive approach and willingness to get the job done
