Join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager in the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) at our Fitzroy campus. This is a permanent full‑time role focused on maintaining the highest standards of sterilisation for reusable medical devices, directly contributing to patient safety and healthcare efficiency.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager – CSSD and the team to:
Ensure the re‑use, high‑level disinfection, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices (RMDs) meet all safety and quality standards.
Oversee and manage the processes for loaned equipment and sterile store supplies.
Lead, manage and collaborate with the CSSD nursing and support staff.
Embed the philosophy and values of St Vincent’s Private Melbourne into all aspects of service delivery.

Qualifications
Extensive experience in CSSD with comprehensive medical instrument knowledge.
Knowledge of high‑level disinfection,



packing and sterilisation of RMDs.
Knowledge of loaned equipment and sterile store processes.
Solid leadership, management and team‑working skills.
Certificate in Sterilisation Services (desirable).
