CASUAL STABLEHAND

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Stablehand to join our team, available to start immediately.

Position Details
Casual position – approximately 25–30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours
Morning shifts generally 6:30am – 12:00pm
1–2 afternoon shifts per week with a 1–1½ hour lunch break between morning and afternoon shifts
Some Saturday morning work will be required
Weekly roster provided each Thursday for the following week

Duties Include
Leading, saddling, washing and grooming horses
Feeding, rugging and general horse care
Loading and unloading horses
Swimming and treadmill work
General secure duties
Race day assistance when required

About You
Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on setting
Confident and capable around horses
Previous horse handling is essential
Previous stable experience is preferred; however,



training can be provided for the right applicant
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
Able to follow instructions and have good attention to detail
Good communication skills
Adaptable with working hours
A truck licence would be advantageous, but is not essential

Above award/industry rates for the right applicant, with additional race day work available.
