Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team.
About the Role
Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team based at Tomago, you will be responsible for the assembly and fitting of generator enclosures, structural components, equipment skids and associated infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working on large-scale industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly and fitting of engineered enclosure systems
Installation of mechanical components and support equipment
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and assembly instructions
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Conducting quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
Working collaboratively with fabrication, welding and electrical teams
Maintaining a secure and organised work environment
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or relevant fitting experience
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining, power generation or heavy engineering settings
Robust mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
