Benefits
Market-competitive salary package of $77,500-82,500 plus superannuation, based on skills and experience.
Task & responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development. Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation. Minimise food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen practices. Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff.
Qualification & experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Chef or Cook in a busy commercial kitchen. Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential where sufficient experience can be demonstrated).
Solid knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety requirements. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a quick-paced team workplace.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
