Typical responsibilities:
Develop/support and implement strategic business development plans in collaboration with partners to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including partners to enhance business growth and client retention.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to advise on potential legal services demand and new market opportunities.
Lead and coordinate pitches and proposals,



ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic goals and client needs.
Mentor junior staff within the business development team to build departmental expertise (where appropriate).
Organise and participate in networking and industry events to enhance firm visibility and develop new business leads.
Track and report on business development activities and outcomes, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Experience required:
Between 2 and 7 years’ experience in business development and/or marketing in skilled services.
Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with partners and other key stakeholders.
Ideally, a proven track record in identifying prospects and developing strategic business development plans to pursue and win work, leading or supporting BD planning efforts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
