SCN is a level 4 Nursery, accepting babies from 34 weeks and transfers from John Hunter Hospital NICU on a case-by-case basis. The paediatric ward cares for patients up to 16 years, with complex cases up to 18.
Shifts include Monday to Friday with 24-hour rotations and a handover on Friday. Involves neonatal and paediatric care across wards.
