The key duties of the position include:

We are seeking motivated school leavers to join our 2027 School Leaver Program.

Our 12-month full time program provides an entry pathway for recent school leavers to start their career in Government.

Program participants will perform a range of duties throughout the program with the support and guidance of senior employees in a variety of roles in areas such as administration, client engagement and information technology.

Participants will receive a full time ongoing position with structured on-the-job and corporate training, and will be supported to undertake a certificate III qualification in IT or Business.

You will be placed in a supportive team workplace with an inclusive and diverse workplace culture, a competitive APS 1 starting salary of $58,608 with advancement to APS 2 ($66,274) on successful completion of the program.

Roles may be offered in Adelaide, Albury, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Perth with successful applicants commencing the program in February 2027.

Eligibility

You must have completed a Year 12 certificate in 2025 or will complete one in 2026 to be eligible to apply for this program.

Candidates applying under the affirmative measure provision must provide confirmation of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
