We are recruiting for a Substation Engineer for our client who is a leading company in hardware kitting and logistics focussed on Power Transmission & Distribution.

Job Responsibilities
/n
/n
Review Substation designs with a focus on busbar systems and high-voltage equipment (132kV+).
/n
Undertake engineering calculations to ensure designs meet relevant standards and client requirements.
/n
Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
/n
Manage and support production activities, ensuring smooth project delivery.
/n
Act as the technical point of contact, providing engineering expertise across projects.
/n
Work collaboratively with the business team while maintaining independence in a standalone engineering function.
/n/n
Experience
/n
/n
Proven experience in primary substation engineering with a solid focus on HV systems (ideally 132kV and above).
/n
In-depth knowledge of busbar design, layouts, and calculations.
/n
Strong understanding of substation standards, practices, and compliance requirements in Australia.
/n
Background in quality assurance and production/project oversight within a technical setting.
/n
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a close-knit team culture.
/n
Regional or remote project experience will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (required).
