Maddington Tyre & Suspension is looking for a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop in Maddington. We provide a wide range of automotive services, including general mechanical repairs, vehicle servicing, tyre services, suspension work and related automotive maintenance. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can confidently diagnose and repair vehicles, and enjoys working as part of a practical and supportive workshop team. This is a full-time position with secure ongoing work and an opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of vehicles and mechanical services.
About the Role
As a Motor Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance;
Diagnosing faults in light vehicle mechanical systems;
Dismantling, inspecting, and assessing vehicle underbody components;
Repairing and replacing worn, damaged, or defective components;
Reassembling mechanical components after repair and ensuring all systems are correctly fitted, aligned, and secured;
Testing, adjusting, and verifying the performance of repaired systems using mechanical and electronic diagnostic equipment;
Inspecting vehicles and providing assessments or recommendations for required repairs to ensure roadworthy condition.
Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
-A Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent relevant automotive trade qualification.
-At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic, Automotive Technician or in a similar light vehicle mechanical role.
-Good mechanical problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
-The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a workshop team.
-Good time management skills and the ability to complete assigned work efficiently and to a high standard.
-Solid communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
-A current valid Australian driver’s licence.
