About the Role

Supervise Training Area Range Management (TARM), Aerodrome (AERO) and Land Management (LM) functions across the base security areas (BSA). This leadership position requires ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, managing external contractors, and providing accurate reporting to the PAS Base Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership to TARM, AERO and LM teams, inspiring staff and aligning their work with organisational objectives.
Oversee all operations related to training area range management, aerodrome services and land management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Manage external contractors, ensuring their work aligns with project specifications and Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements; monitor SLAs and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Develop and manage budgets for TARM, AERO and LM activities, ensuring cost‑effective utilisation of resources.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular performance, issue and achievement reports to the PAS Base Manager.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align activities with organisational goals and community expectations.




Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the teams, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and organisational policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements
Proven track record of effective team leadership and contractor management.
Comprehensive understanding of regulations and standards related to range management, aerodrome operations and land management.
Experience in budget development and financial management.
Robust knowledge of safety standards and proven ability to enforce compliance.
Relevant qualifications in Management, Logistics, Engineering or related fields highly desirable.
Valid driver’s licence.
Australian citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
