About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager or Payroll Team Leader, you will support accurate and timely payroll processing within a high volume environment. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may cover end-to-end payroll or a specialised area of the payroll function.
Duties
Maintaining employee records, new starters, variations and terminations
Reviewing timesheets, leave, allowances and deductions
Calculating superannuation, back pay and termination payments
Responding to employee payroll queries
Interpreting relevant Awards, EBAs and payroll legislation
Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities
Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a high volume payroll environment
Experience using Dayforce, SAP or Chris21 is highly regarded
Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation
Exposure to Awards and EBAs
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
Confident communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to meet deadlines within a rapid paced environment
