About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Trade Assistant to join our growing painting team in Toowoomba. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the painting and construction industry while working alongside experienced painters on a variety of residential, commercial, and education projects.

Painting assistants commonly support surface preparation, protect work areas, move materials, and assist qualified painters on-site.

No previous painting experience is required-just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
Assist qualified painters with daily tasks.

/n
Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, masking, and cleaning.

/n
Protect work areas using drop sheets and masking materials.

/n
Load, unload, and move tools, equipment, and materials.

/n
Maintain a clean, protected, and organised worksite.

/n
Follow safe work practices and company procedures.

/n
Work on residential, commercial, and school facilities as required.

/n
Current C Class Driver Licence.

/n
Current White Card.

/n




Current Working with Children (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain one , as some work may be undertaken in schools or other child-related settings where a Blue Card is required.

Physically fit and capable of manual labour.

/n
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.

/n
Ability to work well in a team.

/n
Previous labouring, construction, landscaping, or painting experience.

/n
Experience using basic hand and power tools.

/n
EWP, Working at Heights, or other construction tickets (advantageous but not essential).
