The Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of a busy manufacturing plant by carrying out both preventative and breakdown maintenance.Your responsibilities will include:
Mechanical breakdown repairs across production equipment
Preventative and scheduled maintenance
Fault finding and root cause analysis
Servicing conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
Equipment installations and continuous improvement projects
Working closely with production to minimise downtime
Maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality
About You
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner
Previous experience in manufacturing, food, FMCG, packaging or industrial environments
Solid fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
