We are currently seeking a Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team.
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Monitoring availability and selling the right rooms to guests at the correct price.
Answering all incoming calls, managing enquiries, bookings, amendments, cancellations and no-shows via all communication channels.
Quoting accurate rates to all market segments and knowing what to quote and when.
Entering reservations and ensuring all details are added to the booking.
Awareness of billing & accounts receivable responsibilities.
Conducting checks on upcoming arrivals, follow up on any pending items.
Managing Group Reservations .
Knowledge of hotel layout, views, bedding and room facilities.
To be considered for this role you need to:
Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate to Advance Level
Professional telephone Etiquette
Clear and strong interpersonal
Solid communication skills and writing techniques (including the ability to formulate professional emails)
Eye for detail and highly accurate data entry skills
Ability to work unsupervised or part of a team
Previous experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5 star hotel establishment would be an advantage
Experience with PMS or similar would be an advantage
Australian National Police Clearance, no more than 3 months old
