Role & Team information
We are looking for someone to assist with the delivery of a new NSW Productivity and Equality Commission (PEC) review into
red tape in the hospitality sector
, for delivery to the Treasurer by August.
Our team - Competition and Regulatory Policy (CRP) - is a (self-described) high impact policy analysis team within Markets and Regulation Division.
Our work includes:
Smarter regulation – encouraging continuous improvement approach to regulation to improve outcomes and seizing opportunities from current technologies.
National Competition Policy – collaborating with other jurisdictions to advance a decade-long reform program aimed at boosting competition, improving consumer choice and lowering prices across Australia
Research and reviews – CRP supports the NSW Productivity and Equality Commissioner to deliver high quality analysis for the NSW Government, including recently:
Review of regulatory barriers impeding a vibrant 24-hour economy
Strata Commissions Review: the market impacts of prohibiting conflicted payments
eConveyancing market study

You will be joining our Economic Strategy & Productivity Group and will be working within the Market & Regulation Division.
