About us:
The Advanced Health Worker is a member of the Maternity Services Team and assists in the delivery of competent, quality care under the direction of the Clinical Midwife/ Nurse Unit Manager whilst assisting in the achievement of service goals in accordance with Queensland Health, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and unit directions.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will....
Deliver specific health care services as required depending on local community needs and service arrangements,
and within the limits of own qualifications, experience and competency in Women's Health Management Programs.
Maintain up- to-date knowledge of government and non-government community and accommodation services and effectively liaise with these agencies and services to assist patients and their families.
Be self-directed and participate in activities such as in-service programs, monthly staff meetings, weekly case conference, individual/group supervision, quality programs, statistical collection/collation, audits, record keeping and report writing.
