About the role
East Road Family Doctors is seeking a dedicated
Practice Nurse
to join our healthcare team on a
part-time basis
.

As a Practice Nurse, you will be a vital member of our clinical team, providing high-quality nursing care and support to patients across a range of healthcare needs.
This role offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst contributing significantly to the delivery of patient-centred care in our community.
Key responsibilities
Conducting patient assessments and vital signs monitoring including blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements
Assisting with clinical procedures and examinations as directed by the General Practitioner
Administering vaccinations and immunisations in accordance with current guidelines and protocols
Providing wound care, dressing changes, and minor injury treatment
Supporting the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma through patient education and monitoring
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records and documentation
Promoting health and wellbeing through patient education and health promotion activities
Contributing to the smooth operation of the practice by maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical setting
Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What we're looking for
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse
Relevant nursing qualification and current professional indemnity insurance
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients,



families and colleagues
Current immunisation provider certification or willingness to obtain this qualification
Organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and documentation
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of a busy general practice
