Wave Functional Health is growing and seeking clinicians who are committed to high-quality, ethical, and holistic care.Role Description This is a full-time, in office Integrative GP role based in Gold Coast, QLD.
The Integrative GP will conduct comprehensive consultations, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and functional assessments, with a focus on identifying underlying drivers of acute and chronic conditions.
Daily responsibilities include developing personalised care plans, prescribing appropriate investigations and treatments, and integrating lifestyle, nutritional, and complementary interventions with conventional medical care.
The GP will review test results, monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
The role involves close collaboration with other clinicians and allied health professionals, participation in case discussions, and contribution to practice improvement initiatives.
The Integrative GP will also provide patient education,
promote preventive health strategies, and support a respectful, inclusive environment for all patients and team members.Qualifications Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a General Practitioner with AHPRA, with no restrictions impacting clinical practice in an integrative setting.Demonstrated experience in general practice, with an interest in or exposure to integrative, functional, or lifestyle medicine.Strong clinical assessment skills, including comprehensive history taking, examination, and formulation of differential diagnoses.Ability to develop and manage personalised, evidence-informed treatment plans that may include conventional medicine, lifestyle changes, and complementary approaches.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and support shared decision-making with diverse patient populations.Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health professionals, and complementary practitioners.Commitment to ethical, patient-centred care, cultural safety, and non-discriminatory practice.Strong organisational and time management skills, including accurate clinical documentation and follow-up.Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development in integrative and functional medicine, including relevant courses, certifications, or training.Comfort with using clinical software, electronic health records, and digital tools to support patient care and practice operations.Desirable: Additional training in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, functional medicine, or related fields
