About the OpportunityWe are seeking experienced ICT Delivery Managers to support a major Federal Government department in the delivery and ongoing management of a diverse portfolio of digital and ICT initiatives.
These roles will operate across a range of ICT environments and will support both business-as-usual operations and priority technology programs.
Delivery Managers will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, project sponsors and operational leads to plan, coordinate and drive delivery from inception through to implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Delivery Managers with a strong background in complex government or enterprise ICT environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate ICT delivery activities, ensuring work is effectively planned, prioritised and progressed in line with business prioritiesLead and coordinate multidisciplinary technical and business delivery teamsManage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and resource requirementsDeliver ICT programs and initiatives within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirementsWork across Agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery environmentsCoordinate operational planning, demand management and resources across technical and business areasMaintain clear reporting on delivery status, milestones, risks, issues and dependenciesBuild productive relationships with project sponsors, technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendorsSupport project handover, operational readiness, sustainment and transition into business-as-usual operationsIdentify opportunities to improve delivery processes, remove blockers and strengthen ways of workingSupport governance forums,

Skills & Experience RequiredMinimum 3–5 years' experience delivering and managing ICT functions, projects or programs within government and/or large enterprise environmentsDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams using Agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery approachesStrong experience managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues and dependenciesExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple organisational levelsDemonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, coaching and inspiring technical and non-technical teamsExperience with project delivery, planning and reporting toolsStrong understanding of ICT systems, technology delivery and how multidisciplinary technical teams work togetherExperience working with vendors and delivery partners to manage progress and resolve delivery issuesExperience supporting organisational or technology change and helping stakeholders adopt new processes, systems or ways of working
Highly DesirablePrevious Australian Government ICT delivery experienceRelevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Information Technology or a related disciplineProject management qualifications or accreditation such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, PMBOK or AgileScrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent)Change management qualifications such as Prosci or APMGExperience delivering Agile projects within PRINCE2 or equivalent governance frameworksExperience using Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams and/or Microsoft ProjectExperience driving continuous improvement across ICT delivery processes and ways of working
