Director of Wine – Yabby Lake Cellar Door
Yabby Lake is a renowned wine producer on the Mornington Peninsula, 50 minutes from Melbourne.
Focused on single vineyard wines from 3 regions, Mornington Peninsula, Tasmania and Heathcote.
Our Cellar door is located in Tuerong and is open 7 days a week for tastings and lunch.
POSITION OUTLINE:
To manage all the cellar door wine operations at Yabby Lake.
We require a motivated and hands-on individual with that can develop and manage the total wine experience at cellar door.
This is a full time position working from Tuesday-Saturday.

Key responsibilities:
· Curate the total wine experience.
· Format restaurant wine list and by the glass offerings.
· Train and mentor staff to develop critical wine skills.
· Facilitate and conduct wine tastings for customers.
· Evolve retail offering.




· Grow direct sales, wine club and mailing list.
· Develop key partnerships with local and regional businesses.
· Manage POS, stock, ordering.
· Manage and develop social media accounts and presence.
· Assist in managing website and web sales.
· It is a hands-on role, combining on the tasting bench and in the office.
Essential experience/qualifications:
· Cellar door management experience.
· WSET qualified or equivalent.
· Budgeting and proficient use of associated software.
· Positive attitude.
· Customer and sales focus.
· Responsible service of alcohol.
· Wine industry knowledge and experience.
