Darwin Turf Club and Silks are home to some of the Territory's biggest moments, including the Darwin Cup Carnival.
We are looking for a capable, organised and creative Marketing Executive to help bring our campaigns, content and events to life across the peak season.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, and working closely with the General Manager of Marketing and Media, this is a hands-on role where you will help keep our brand sharp, our comms consistent, and our race day and feature event delivery running smoothly.
The contract
Fixed-term role: August to February
Built around the full lead-in and delivery period across the racing and events season
What you'll be doing
Support the planning and rollout of marketing and communications campaigns across Darwin Turf Club and Silks
Help manage brand standards and keep our corporate identity consistent across channels
Plan and deliver assigned Feature Events and Race Days
Support Fashions on the Field planning and delivery with our Stylist, Ambassador and retailers
Build and distribute run sheets for race days and events across departments
Draft social media content and scheduling for review by the Marketing Manager and GM Marketing and Media
Prepare EDMs and help coordinate content for multi-media platforms
Keep the Darwin Turf Club / Silks website current and refreshed




Coordinate design jobs across departments (sales, functions, partnerships, food and beverage)
Make sure in-venue marketing materials are current and presented well
Assist with marketing invoicing, purchase orders, reconciliations and payments
Compile racebook content for race days across the Darwin Racing Season
Support reporting and presentations as required
What we're looking for
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar discipline
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce and Business or related field including Marketing and Communications are acceptable
3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
Strong writing skills and confidence communicating with people at all levels
High attention to detail and strong admin capability
Social media experience across platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram)
Confident using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
Organised, calm under pressure, and good at juggling moving parts
Australian driver's licence
Nice to have
Events delivery experience
Racing industry knowledge
CRM experience (marketing or events)
Video editing capability
Speech/content writing experience
Experience working with VIPs and Government protocol
Availability
This role sits in our busiest window, so flexibility is essential, including weekend work across the contract period.
